We are seeking an architecture professional to support residential building modelling projects for our Australian team. The successful applicant must have at least two years of architectural work experience, be confident reading building drawings and specifications, and have practical experience using architectural modelling or drafting software. Full training in HERO software will be provided.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) or Master of Architecture (M.Arch).

• At least two years of professional architectural work experience is mandatory.

• Practical experience with architectural drafting, 3D modelling or BIM software is mandatory.

• Strong ability to read and interpret plans, elevations, sections, schedules, construction details and material specifications.

• Experience in an architecture firm or the building and construction sector is preferred.

• HERO or NatHERS experience is an advantage, but is not required.

Responsibilities

• Review Australian residential architectural drawings and specifications.

• Create and update residential building models in HERO software following training.

• Accurately model orientation, dimensions, zones, walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, windows, doors and shading elements.

• Enter construction materials, insulation, glazing, ventilation and other relevant building details.

• Identify missing or inconsistent information and prepare questions for the Australian team.

• Assist with preliminary NatHERS modelling and improvement scenarios under the guidance of an Australian assessor.

• Revise models following drawing updates and assessor feedback.

• Maintain organised project files, model versions, checklists and supporting records.

• Attend online training and project meetings with the Australian team.

• Protect client information and complete work accurately within agreed deadlines.
