Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and maintain processes to ensure comprehensive supply chain traceability, enabling full visibility from raw materials to finished goods.
∎ Respond promptly to stakeholder inquiries regarding supply chain transparency and traceability, providing detailed and accurate information.
∎ Collaborate with internal and external partners to meet sustainability, ethical sourcing, and regulatory requirements related to supply chain traceability.
∎ Review and verify entry documents globally, including tariff classifications and entitlement to trade preferences, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory compliance standards.
∎ Oversee and enforce import policies and operating standards, ensuring seamless daily execution of established procedures.
∎ Monitor and analyze duty expenses, identifying and mitigating potential duty exposure risks.
∎ Support the Manager, Customs in responding to customs audits, addressing inquiries and ensuring timely and accurate follow-up with authorities.
∎ Maintain and organize comprehensive customs compliance records, ensuring readiness for audits and internal reviews.
∎ Secure retroactive refunds and actively seek opportunities to minimize tariffs and other border-related costs.
∎ Coordinate duty mitigation initiatives, ensuring consistent oversight, reporting, and alignment with organizational goals.
∎ Establish and enforce robust processes to prevent the introduction of inputs made with forced labor into the supply chain, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and ethical standards.
∎ Maintain and regularly update the nominated vendor lists to ensure alignment with company policies and traceability requirements.
∎ Perform regular testing, audits, and risk assessments to verify supplier compliance and detect any violations related to forced labor or unethical practices.
∎ Act as a liaison with operations teams to ensure smooth product movement, maintain system visibility, and address supply chain issues.
∎ Conduct risk analyses and assist with desk-side audits and third-party audits to identify and mitigate supply chain vulnerabilities.
∎ Proactively engage with internal stakeholders to address inquiries and provide insights into trade compliance, supply chain traceability, and sustainability initiatives.
∎ This role is responsible for managing and enhancing global trade compliance, supply chain traceability, and customs operations while ensuring ethical sourcing and regulatory adherence. The position emphasizes the prevention of forced labor inputs, maintenance of nominated vendor lists, and regular testing to uphold compliance and ethical standards. The individual will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address transparency inquiries, optimize costs through duty mitigation initiatives, and maintain accurate records. Additional responsibilities include handling customs audits, conducting risk assessments, and supporting the organization’s commitment to global trade compliance.
