Responsibilities & Context:
To lead, monitor, control and supervise an electrical maintenance team efficiently to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the factory and to run all the machineries.
Oversee, install and monitor effective preventive, predictive and emergency electrical systems to reduce the machine/equipment/plant downtime and improve productivity at all level.
To find out actual root cause of machine/equipment/plant downtime & ensure proper troubleshooting to run the system smoothly.
To contact with machine supplier (if necessary) to do the commissioning tasks (if any) as per schedule & conduct all commissioning tasks until running the machine with full production as well as find out all electrical discrepancy & escalate to suppler as well as top management & ensure follow up until solving the issue.
To contact with consultant of required issues & collect design & drawing if there is any required any necessary modification. After top management approval, necessary arrangement for contractor & preparing/collecting BOQ will have to be made. If needed, arrangement of materials by regular follow up with CHO engineering & procurement team as well as conduct all tasks until finishing the job properly.
Direct and supervise team effectively to minimize downtime of machines in production departments.
Ensure the overall operations of the machineries at optimum speed.
Diagnose electrical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts, catalogues as necessary and taking action in case of production related/ machine related problems in the factory and solve it accordingly.
Checking of maintenance record and repairing works, performance and the costs of the work.
Maintain effective working relationships and works in cooperation with the management team to effectively meet departmental and Company objectives.
Maintain minimum stock level of spare parts and costing for spare parts consumption.
Proper placing of foreign indent and local indent of spare parts and ensure new spare parts to make available as required for production and for the sake of smooth operation.
Innovate and suggest appropriate technological advancements and new attachments suited to increase productivity.
Take up new engineering projects as assigned by the management.
Ensure cost reduction by reducing all kinds of wastages.
Evaluate staff performance, ensure their discipline, identify training need and stimulate their career development.
Ensure safety, quality and compliance activities in workplace and ensure and maintain a clean and tidy site.
Carry out any other job as assigned by the management from time to time
