Job Responsibilities:
∎ The role holder is responsible for providing technical and program expertise to support the implementation of Newborn Health interventions and strategies in relevant MOH&FW Operational Plans.
∎ The incumbent will be a member of Mamoni MNCSP's Maternal and Newborn Health Technical Team and provide technical and managerial support to rolling out of newborn health programme and policies, including strategy formulation, expansion of tested interventions and introduction of new interventions.
∎ The role holder will ensure opportunistic and timely support to planning, reviewing, implementation and monitoring of government operational plans and coordinate to improve implementation and scaling up of newborn health interventions.
∎ In consultation with the team members, the role holder will also provide inputs to develop learning agenda and strategic sharing of program learning and results, as available.
∎ Be opportunistic and strategic catalysing stakeholders to strengthen newborn health components at local and national levels.
∎ S/he will provide technical inputs and advice in support of SC's country objectives related to improving newborn health.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 7 years of experience in working with government counterparts in developing and implementing operational plans among which 5 years of experience in newborn health.
∎ Proven track-record in providing technical support to various departments of MOH&FW in scaling up proven interventions/approaches;
∎ Ideal candidate should have good understanding of Health, Population and Nutrition Sector Plan (HPNSP) and National Newborn Health Programme (NNHP)
∎ A high level of proficiency in at least 1-2 technical areas related to NBH is highly required.
∎ Willingness and ability to work within Govt. system and clinical settings is a key requirement
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
