As a group of experts and innovators in power and energy field, we work to deliver responsible power for communities across Bangladesh. We develop, acquire, own, and operate power generation facilities using a variety of energy sources. Currently, we are supplying electricity to national gird of Bangladesh under the contract signed with Bangladesh Power Development Board to contribute in meeting energy & power demand of the country. Our power plants are built with state-of-the-art technology using German made Caterpillar 16CM43 model reciprocating engine, which is the most fuel-efficient engine installed and commissioned in Bangladesh. Since the announcement of commercial operation dated on 26th March 2012, ACORN plant is most utilized HFO based power generating facility in Bangladesh. Started with its initial capacity of 100 MW in 2012, the present combined capacity is 800 MW and counting.

Description: Acorn Infrastructure Service Ltd. received LOI form Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) on 06th July 2010 to establish 100 MW HFO power plant in Juldha, Chattogram to supply electricity to national gird to contribute in meeting the power demand of the country. This power plant has been built with state-of-the-art technology using German made Caterpillar 16CM43 model reciprocating engine, which is the most fuel-efficient engine installed and commissioned in Bangladesh & consumes only a gram of HFO to generate one Kilowatt of electric power that is less than the permitted value with BPDB. Our power plant uses the best quality materials and services that has earned the name as one of the best installed HFO based power plants in Bangladesh. Since the announcement of commercial operation dated on 26th March 2012, ACORN plant is the most utilized HFO based power plant in Bangladesh and has effectively reduced generation cost and tariff charged to government. With such performance and good reputation with BPDB, ACORN has increased its capacity from 100 MW to 300 MW through the expansion of plants in Juldha, Chattogram in recent period.

Location: Juldha Power Plant is located in Dhangarchar, just across of Chattogram port in Chattogram district. It is about 5 km from Agrabad Commercial Area and about 10 km from Chattogram International Airport. Chattogram is the port capital and second largest city of Bangladesh. Being the electricity producer of Chattogram division, It is in the Chattogram district, which is in the southeastern part of the country near Myanmar (Burma). The city was built on the banks of the Karnaphuli River connecting with the Bay of Bengal.
The largest seaport of the country, Chattogram is the main route for almost all of Bangladesh’s import and export, and generates a huge amount of revenue each year, attracting many global investors. Its’ port and its facilities are extensively developed and particularly suitable for ocean freights. The city is Bangladesh’s commercial and manufacturing hub and home to country’s mega industries. It is also notable that a large eco-park is situated in the territory placed in Sitakundu, which is catering the interests of ecologists and individuals and communities working in forestry-related genetic science.

Plant Description: We have 3 independent plant units for Jhulda, each plant bears the capacity of 100 MW. Each 100 MW unit including this plant consists of 08 German made Caterpillar 16CM43 model reciprocating engine of 13.2 and 13.5 MW each. Our 100 MW 11 KV generating voltage is stepped up to 132 KV voltage through substation at generating end including 2 numbers of 65/75 MVA, 11/132 KV stepped up transformer. Transmission line with double circuit line where one holds capacity of 200 MW & another line with 100 MW has been laid to interconnect with Juldha grid substation to supply electricity to the national grid. Total storage capacity of fuel is 23,800 MT with independent jetty to facilitate bunkering.

Description: Acorn Infrastructure Service Unit-3 Ltd. received LOI form Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) on 10th August 2017 to establish 100 MW HFO power plant in Juldha, Chattogram to supply electricity to national gird to contribute in meeting the growing power demand of the country. ACORN Unt-3 successfully achieved the commercial operation dated on 09th November 2018 since then it is supplying electricity to national grid as per the requirement of Bangladesh Power Development Board. Like the previous unit of ACORN power plant, this unit has been built with state-of-the-art technology using German made Caterpillar 16CM43 model reciprocating engine, which is the most fuel-efficient engine installed and commissioned in Bangladesh, & consumes only a gram of HFO to generate one Kilowatt of electric power that is less than the permitted value with BPDB. Bangla Trac Power Unit-1 Ltd.
Location: Daudkandi, Cumilla

Bangla Trac Power Unit-1 Ltd. received LOI form Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) under Fast Track Project on 10th August 2017 to establish 200 MW HSD power plant in Daudkandi, Cumilla to supply electricity to the national gird to meet ever increasing power demand of the country. After receiving the LOI, Bangla Trac Power Unit-1 Ltd. has completed the construction of 200 MW plant in just 08 months and achieved COD on 27th April 2018. We ensure materials & services of best standard, which has made this plant as one of the best HSD based power plants in Bangladesh.

Location: Bangla Trac Power Unit-1 Ltd. is in Solakandi, Gouripur, Titas, Cumilla. This 200MW HSD based Power Plant is situated on the banks of Gomoti River. This river is one of the prominent routes of transportation. The distance of the plant is just 1 km from Gouripur bus stand on Dhaka-Chattogram National Highway (N1). Cumilla is a district of Chattogram division. Numerous factories & plants of different industries are situated in this district. Cumilla district connects Dhaka City with South-East part of Bangladesh. Bibir Bazar Land Port at Cumilla has significantly accelerated the economical boom of this country.

Plant Description: Plant capacity is 200 MW and consists of 154 engines. Daudkandi plant is built with state-of-the-art technology using Caterpillar reciprocating engines, which are most fuel-efficient HSD engine installed and commissioned in Bangladesh. The plant consists of 99 engines of 1.4 MW each, 40 engines of 1.5 MW each and 15 engines of 1.05 MW each. Total fuel storage capacity is 11,500 MT. The plant is connected to Daudkandi substation to supply electricity to national grid.

 

Bangla Trac Power Unit-2 Ltd.
Location: Noapara, Jashore.

Description: Bangla Trac Power Unit-2 Ltd. received LOI form Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) under Fast Track Project on 10th August 2017 to establish 100 MW HSD power plant in Noapara, Jashore to supply electricity to the national gird to meet high power demand of the country. After receiving the LOI, Bangla Trac Power Unit-2 Ltd. has completed the construction of 100 MW plant in just 08 months and achieved COD on 18th April 2018, which is the first to achieve COD among all the First Track power projects. We have been successfully ensuring best quality standard with our materials and services, such attribute has made us one of the best HSD based power plants in Bangladesh.

Location: Bangla Trac Power Unit-2 Ltd. is located at Adilpur, Abhaynagor, Jashore. This 100MW HSD Power Plant is situated on the bank of Bhairab river. The river plays a key role in the economy of Bangladesh. This river is connected with Mongla Port. Barge, Lighter ship, Oil tanker ships carry bulk shipment throughout this route. Travelling to Bangla Trac Power Unit-2 is very much convenient with any of the communication route- by Air, or Road, or water ways. It’s about 40 km away from Jashore Airport and very close to Khulna City. On 6 December 1971, Jashore became the first district of our country to be liberated from Pakistan regiment. Jashore proudly holds the name of being the first digital district in Bangladesh. Its’ landscape housing the largest flower garden of Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s main land port Benapole is situated in this district.

Plant Description: Plant capacity is 100 MW and consists of 77 engines. Noapara plant is built with state-of-the-art technology using Caterpillar reciprocating engines, the most fuel-efficient HSD engine installed and commissioned in Bangladesh. Total fuel storage capacity is 6,500 MT. The plant is connected to Noapara 132/33 KV grid substation through two 33/132 KV and 65/75 MVA transformer at generating end.
