AMONG US NEW UPDATES – 15-PLAYER LOBBY, NEW TASKS & MORE

Coming out of nowhere in 2020, Among Us quickly became one of the year’s most successful video games. Despite how rewarding that was, especially for InnerSloth, the game’s popularity has declined over the past few months. The accomplishment of reaching the summit is sweet, but they still have work to do if they want to reap the benefits of that position for the long haul. To their credit, the creators finally made some appropriate adjustments to the game. The next obstacle is getting them interested in playing the game again and keeping them there.

Developers and long-time players alike are keeping their fingers crossed that the game’s steady stream of upgrades and additions will keep bringing in fresh blood. Thankfully, it seems to be operating fine for the most part. The release of the fourth map, The Airship, on March 31 was their most significant update to date. In any case, what else have the creators of this online multiplayer action game added recently?

Among Us Newest Updates in 2021

Multiple changes have been made to the Among Us game since it was first released. In this article, I’ll go over each one individually. There was a new bean color, translations into other languages, and a lobby for up to 15 players. Keep reading to learn in depth about these changes.

THE 15-PLAYER LOBBY

Recently, InnerSloth made a significant change to Among Us by increasing the maximum number of players in the lobby from 10 to 15. This opens the door for more people to enjoy this social action game. This is a brand-new feature that will undoubtedly catch many long-time players off guard. The new patch celebrates the game’s third birthday.

But should we think of it as a major revision? To a large extent, yes. Deduction games like Among Us are typically enjoyed in the company of others, as the name suggests. The more players there are, the more enjoyable the game. It’s possible that with five additional people on board, things could become more chaotic, if not downright poisonous. But that’s when the excitement and difficulty really begin to kick in. The difficulty level increases slightly, especially for the Impostors, as there are more participants. More people need to be eliminated, which means more people need to be located. Therefore, that will also be difficult.

NEW TASKS & TRANSLATION

A new mission and some other languages to learn have also recently been added to Among Us. Newly implemented support for Simplified Chinese and Irish ensures that players who speak those languages can enjoy the game without any linguistic barriers. Cleaning vents is the newest assignment.

Wow, you’re right! The Impostors’ ventilation systems will now need to be cleaned. This is an excellent task for Crewmates because it prevents the use of a certain vent while it is being cleaned. The Impostor will still have access to the other vents, but they will be unable to utilize the one that is now being cleaned. Crew members will be able to detect the impostor during the vent cleaning mission. The Impostor will be evicted from the vent as part of the cleaning process.

If an Impostor is nearby, you will hear a dramatic sound alerting you to its presence. This makes being an Impostor more difficult, but also more exciting and gratifying if you succeed.

NEW BEAN COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM

InnerSloth has also expanded the palette of playable bean hues. The current color palette is growing old, thus this is a welcome improvement. Since the maximum number of players can now reach 15, everyone will need to start using different hues. Tan, Coral, Banana, Rose, Gray, and Maroon are the six new hues that have been added to the game. These palette colors look great and expand the game’s selection of bean skins.

What Else Can You Expect To Come?

But InnerSloth isn’t done adding new features and fixing bugs. As a result, more fresh stuff is likely on the way. In a corporate blog, they detailed their plans, which include adding a fifth map, a Hide and Seek mode, new roles (maybe detectives), and additional gameplay options. Updated visor add-ons, along with a slew of new features. However, the developer has yet to reveal specifics regarding these upcoming changes, such as a release date. However, you may expect to have access to it by the end of the year or at the very earliest in 2019.

In a recent tweet, they hinted to the release of a potentially significant update in the near future. An image of a spacebean is attached to the message, further heightening anticipation for the forthcoming huge update. No one is sure what the big change is. There are currently no specifics in the tweet. It could be one of the latest additions they mentioned in their road map piece, or it could be something completely new.

All we can do is wait till it’s out or until they provide more information. In the meanwhile, I hope you’ll appreciate the new features we’ve outlined here.
